When we say Callao is the Hometown of the Northern Neck it is because visiting here feels like coming home. The mission of the Callao Hometown Community Association is to preserve the cultural and historical heritage and character of Callao and support its cohesion and vitality as a unified community. 

CHCA’s purpose is to provide the community with a more defined sense of unity through activities designed to bring together residents, homeowners, and business owners alike, through efforts to:  

1. Improve and beautify the area to foster a sense of pride and to engage residents and attract visitors to our hometown community; 
2. Provide a community gathering place and hold festivities and activities to bring the community together as a whole—residents, visitors and tourists; and 
3. Inform and educate the community and other publics about our cultural and historical heritage through a variety of educational and community strategies.

As a Main Street America Affiliate™, Callao Hometown Community Association, Inc. is part of a national network of more than 1,200 neighborhoods and communities who share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development.
