Christmas in Callao

This year's theme for Christmas in Callao is "Toys on Parade".  We hope this theme brings out your favorite childhood memories of being a child or a having a child-like heart - when life was simple and carefree.  Did you have a favorite childhood toy that you would like to incorporate in this year's theme?  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Events for the day include:

• 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Christmas Bazaar - Callao Firehouse - Shop for unique gifts from local crafters and vendors for that special holiday gift.
• 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Car, Truck, & Tractor Display - Displays of cars, trucks, & tractors including antique, classic, and current.
• 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Santa & His Workshop - Callao Firehouse - Visit with Santa at his workshop.
• 4 p.m. - Christmas Parade - Northumberland Hwy/Route 360 - You never know what you will see in a Callao Christmas Parade but it's always fun & will certainly get you in the spirit & put a smile on your face.  Parade route starts near the stop light & travels through Callao towards Callao Moose Lodge.
• 6 p.m. - Live Nativity, Crab Pot Christmas Tree Lighting, & Carol Singing - Watch the reenactment of the Nativity with live animals & music; enjoy the lighting of our famous Christmas Tree made from crab pots; & take part in carol singing near the tree.  Afterwards enjoy some hot chocolate & cookies.
